  • Ingredients Wheat flour, sugar, palm oil, glucose syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, spices, raising agents (E500, E341), egg yolk powder (from free-range eggs), milk protein, salt, flavouring.
  • Preparation Necessary ingredients: 1 bag (160 g) of Koopmans Kruidnoten mix, 2 tablespoons of water (about 20 g or 20 ml), possibly flour for powdering the kitchen counter. Kitchenware: baking plate, baking paper. Oven temperature: electric oven: 175 °C; hot air oven: 160 °C; gas oven: setting 3-4. Preparation time: about 10-15 minutes. Baking time: about 10 minutes. Preparation: 1. Remove the baking plate from the oven and cover it with baking paper. 2. Preheat the oven. 3. Pour 1 bag of Koopmans Kruidnoten mix in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of water (use 1 bag for 1 baking plate). 4. Mix with a spoon and then knead by hand until the crumbs form a dough. 5. Powder the kitchen counter with flour and roll the dough into a sheet of about 40 cm. 6. Divide the dough sheet into 8 equal parts of 5 cm; roll these further to obtain 8 equal dough sheets of 7 cm. 7. Cut each dough sheet into 7 equal pieces of 1 cm and make balls. 8. Place the balls onto a baking plate in 8 rows of 7. Make sure the balls are well distributed over the plate (spacing of about 3-5 cm). 9. Bake the kruidnoten in the middle of the oven for about 10 minutes. Make sure the bottom of the kruidnoten does not become too dark. 10. Remove the kruidnoten with the baking paper from the baking plate immediately after baking and leave to cool.
